New building contract for the Nuuk Police

Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland has been awarded a contract worth 2.1 million US Dollars for the construction of a new building and renovation of a section of the main building of the Nuuk Police Headquarters.

The project will last eight months starting in March and takes advantage of milder climate during the summer season to erect the foundations and the main structure of the building. The interior work with flooring, plumbing etc. will take place during the last months and be finished by December.

The gables and the foundations are constructed in concrete. The walls and roof are wooden constructions well insulated and airtight in accordance with the Greenland building regulations.

For over 50 years Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland has continually perfected their work to meet the series of logistical, climatic and weather challenges associated with working in Greenland. The logistics is the most prominent. All materials needed have to be packed and shipped from Denmark well in advance.

Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland signs a new contract for the Nuuk Police

The firm has eight months to finish the project before the winter season.
For over 50 years Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland has continually perfected their work to meet the series of logistical, climatic and weather challenges associated with working in Greenland. The logistics is the most prominent.

-All materials needed for the project have to be packed in containers and shipped from Denmark well in advance, says Niels Laursen, CEO Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland on goes on saying:

-We start working in March and plan to have the main structure of the building finished before the winter season with darkness 24/7, stormy weather and snow. We move inside and finish the floor, plumbing etc. during the last months until December.

-The Nuuk Police Station is open 24/7 and we will work strategically to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Experienced craftsmen
Skilled and experienced craftsmen from Adserballe & Knudsen Greenland as well as from Adserballe & Knudsen Denmark will carry out the project together with local subcontractors working with electricity, plumbing and interior design professionals.
